Hey!
I'm trying to get ahold of my friend to buy some items from her and I'd like to get ahold of a car to buy, but, I don't have enough money, then, I need to buy a cheap car!! =))
Am I right? I hope so.
Thanks,

Fiquei em duvida quanto ao uso do phrase verb " get ahold of(someone)".
No exemplo do Gui, ele está comentando com alguem através do telefone ou pessoalmente com outro alguem?
Se estivesse comentando pessoalmente com alguem, não através do telefone, não seria correto usar o phrase verb "to meet up (with somebody)? |

Olá Araki!
Depende do que o Guilherme quis dizer com isto. "Get ahold of" é usado para se dizer "contactar alguém (por alguma razão)". Por exemplo, suponha que você estivesse querendo falar comigo, mas não consegue me encontrar nem por telefone, nem por skype, nem por celular, etc. Então, neste caso, você estaria tendo dificuldades em "get ahold of me". Entendeu? |

Hi
E o get through? I´ve called my mom for several times but I couldn´t get through.
Agora fiquei mesmo na dúvida. |

O "get through", neste caso, é que você não conseguiu "completar a ligação", Gabriela. |

Hello!
Araki & Tim,
I was talking with another person about I need to get ahold of my friend (by telephone) to buy some items from her. Is it correct?
Tim,
If I was talking that I need to meet up with my friend, did I mean that I need to meet her in anywhere?
Thanks,
Gui. |

Tim,
Once again! haha..
I'm writing some phrases to remember the phrasal verbs and I have a question:
- I've tried several times to "get ahold of" my daddy, but, I couldn't "get through". There are two phrasal verbs that I learnt here. =)
Is it correct?
Thanks,
Gui! |
